We very first met through a mutual friend Stuart (one of our groomsman) and a mutual interest at the time - drinking. So yes it's a cliche but we met in a bar.
That night we sat on the doorstep of an estate agents in Lincoln until the sun started to rise. We talked, we laughed, we planned to scale the wall of the cathedral, agreed to go on our first date and then walked away....
6 months in, we both ended up living a couple of roads apart in the Bailgate, Lincoln.
Moving is a stressful time but we will always remember the struggle trying to move the washing machine down the very small alley of a terrace house... (this was the actual washing machine, we left it until last!).
We had some amazing months living nearby each other in a beautiful part of the city.

There are three of us in our in little family. The third member being our best friend Jasper.
He a springer spaniel crossed with a black lab. Aka lively and excited all the time. He thinks he is human, he is very loving & trusting.
His interests? Walks, playing with balls, food, playing with balls, sitting on mum or dad, playing with balls, sleeping, playing with balls, people in general, playing with balls.
Having been together 1 year and 3 months we decided that it might be good to stop renting 2 houses and look for a house to rent together.
We looked for many places to rent, then the thought that it might be better if we bought a 'disposable house' (small and cheap) as we hadnt been together that long and it was a big commitment to buy!
So we looked for many 'disposable houses' and settled for buying a 4 bedroom detached house..... just as well it worked out!!
It was Thursday 9th of December 2016 and we had planned to go late night Christmas shopping.
Kayla was sat on the sofa waiting for Scott to get home from work (slightly annoyed at his lateness). The door bell rang, and as Kayla went to answer it 'all you need is love' by the Beatles started to play from all the speakers in the house.
Scott was standing at the front door with big hand written white cards. The cards were shaking from the nerves.... 16 cards later, then down on one knee:
"Will you marry me?"
"Yes!"
After the "Love Actually" re-enactment - we headed to London for the weekend to celebrate.
